Diamond T History
The History of Diamond T Trailer
In the fall of 1995, Charles and Philip Teague, a father and son team, founded Diamond T Trailer Manufacturing in a modest 5,000-square-foot shop. From the very beginning, they set two core principles that have guided their growth and success: treat every dealer as a partner, not just a customer, and prioritize quality over quantity. This commitment has been the foundation of Diamond T’s success, which continues nearly three decades later.
What started in that small shop has since expanded to 85,000 square feet of state-of-the-art facilities. Today, Diamond T operates with an overhead rail system, which feeds into a cutting-edge paint and finish line, allowing for faster production without compromising the quality that the company is known for. “We’ve been growing steadily since day one, but it’s crucial to ensure that quality remains at the forefront of everything we do,” says Philip Teague. This philosophy is reflected in every trailer built, a trait that has earned Diamond T its reputation for craftsmanship and reliability.
Diamond T has continually expanded its range of trailer models to meet the evolving needs of its customers. The line now includes low-profile dump trailers, beam frame skid-pro equipment trailers (available in both gooseneck and bumper pull), as well as redesigned models like flat decks, tilt decks, car haulers, and utility trailers. The team is also working on innovative future models, such as hydraulic full-tilt flat decks and hydraulic dovetail flat decks.
When asked about the company’s enduring success, Philip keeps it simple: “I’m old school. If I were the customer, I would expect a certain level of quality and service. We commit to delivering nothing less than what we’d expect ourselves. When you see things from that perspective, it’s pretty straightforward.” This commitment extends to customer service—when a dealer calls, someone answers, and if an issue arises, Diamond T works to resolve it.
Beyond the relationships with their dealers, Diamond T also recognizes the contributions of their employees. “We’re incredibly fortunate to have a long-term team who understand how important our dealers are to the company,” Philip says. With this strong support system, Diamond T continues to thrive, with trailers sold in multiple states through a trusted network of dealers.
Today, Diamond T Trailers remains a family-run operation that prides itself on delivering quality, service, and partnership. Dealers and customers alike can trust that when they buy a Diamond T trailer, they’re getting more than just a product—they’re becoming part of a legacy built on grit, integrity, and hard work.
